Data and insights from our research have increased the visibility of challenges faced by landlords and tenants nationwide. Avail shares real-time trends to help inform housing policymaking nationwide through monthly updates with White House advisors.
Research has also led to further publication in major press outlets and the creation of tangible solutions for our community, including the Local Rental Owners Collaborative (LROC) pilot program that provided rent assistance for qualified renters and landlords in the LA county area. The Urban Institute also launched a National Rental Payment Tracker, powered by Avail data.
Our research and these partnerships have led to published reports and new initiatives highlighting trends in rent payment, eviction risk, and access to Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA).
